Structural characteristics of flat gate valve:
The slab gate valve is a sliding valve whose closing parts are parallel gates. The closing part can be a single ram or a double ram with a stretching mechanism in between. The pressing force of the gate to the valve seat is controlled by the medium pressure acting on the floating gate or the floating valve seat. If it is a flat gate valve with double gates, the expansion mechanism between the two gates can supplement this pressing force.

Structure of flat gate valve:

1. The valve seat adopts the O-shaped sealing ring seal and the floating seat structure with pre-tightening force, so that the inlet and outlet of the flat gate valve are bidirectionally sealed; and the opening and closing torque of this structure is only 1/2 of that of ordinary valves, which can easily open, close the valve
2. When fully open, the channel is smooth and straight, the flow resistance coefficient is extremely small, there is no pressure loss, and the pipeline can be cleaned by the hair ball
3. Self-sealing packing structure, the sealing is more reliable than ordinary graphite packing, and grease is injected into the sealing surface of the packing, and the sealing surface reaches the zero leakage standard, which solves the common problems of running, dripping and leaking in general valves.
4. When the flat gate valve is closed, it can automatically remove the high pressure in the inner cavity to ensure safe use
5. Fully enclosed structure, good protection performance, can adapt to all-weather requirements
6. The sealing structure of the valve seat should be elastic and pre-tightened, and the upstream and downstream sealing seats should be sealed at the same time. There is always a face-to-face seal between the seat and the seal.
7. The valve seat has a self-cleaning function and is not directly washed by the air flow during the opening or closing of the valve. Seats shall be made of lubricated, nonabrasive material.
8. The failure of the valve actuator will not affect other parts of the valve, and maintenance and replacement can be carried out without dismantling the valve.
9. Yoke bushings – Aluminum bronze yoke bushings feature needle thrust bearings to minimize operating torque.
10. Stem – threaded length to bracket; pinned and spot welded for stability.
11. Pressure Seal – Simple construction with segmented retaining ring and silver plated mild steel gasket to facilitate removal and best bonnet seal.
12. Seat Ring – Welded seat ring is perpendicular to the flow path for easy maintenance.
13. Actuator – These valves can be configured with electric, hydraulic or pneumatic actuators. Standard manual handwheel is configured below DN300, and helical gear operating mechanism is configured above DN350.
14. Yoke – The fully assembled yoke has passed the seismic test and is easy to maintain and install the actuator.
15. Gland – Two-piece, self-adjusting gland to avoid being ejected.
16. Integral Rear Seat – Hard surface for longest life.
17. Disc – Spring loaded disc is self-adjusting, reducing actuator torque requirements.
18. Integral stop – the integral cast bracket stop device positions the assembled bracket disc, making the valve seat more stable and reliable.
19. The valve body has two structures of casting and welding.

23. The gate and valve seat are processed by special process, spray-welded with hard alloy, wear-resistant PTFE, and realize double sealing. It can also be injected with grease to assist the double protection of the seal, the seal is more reliable and the service life is longer.
24. The gate plate of the valve with diversion holes, no matter it is fully open or fully closed, always coincides with the sealing surface, and the sealing surface is protected from direct erosion by the medium, thereby prolonging the service life.

26. The valve adopts a packing structure with self-sealing ability, which does not need to be adjusted frequently. It is very easy to open and close, and the sealing performance is reliable. The stuffing box is equipped with an auxiliary sealing grease injection structure. The sealing performance is absolutely reliable and truly achieves zero leakage; Eliminates the disadvantage that the packing of general valves is most likely to leak.
27. When the valve is closed, the high pressure in the inner cavity can be automatically removed to ensure safe use.
28. Fully enclosed structure, good protection performance, can meet all-weather requirements.
29. The valve is equipped with an indicator rod or an observation window to indicate the opening and closing of the valve.
